    More predictable pop tops

Hmm... I just checked in RF. I'm actually feeding aileron and rudder at the same time. Always thought I did aileron first. Funny how your muscle memory is playing tricks on you sometimes...

I had an ESC do that to me in a knife edge causing a crash. I was losing altitude and tried to power out of it and didn't realize what was going on until it was too late... So now Dan has the choice between a cheap Chinese ESC and one that's too small. Talk about rock and a hard place! :)

I have a 50A ESC you can borrow until you find something better. If you're planning on stopping by GCA next weekend, I'll bring it! It's a... Chinese brand... if you know what I mean, but it works. At least it worked last time I used it...

Yes, absolutely! The 103g is rated for 45W, so you should go at least with a 50A. Never EVER over amp an ESC! Over amping a motor is less serious, unless you fly at constant WOT. Overamping an ESC can lead to a complete burnout of the ESC and BEC. Sure, the better ones have some margins built...

    3DHobbyShop 51" AJ Slick

Most likely a Motrolfly 3615/750kv, HS5085MGs all around, probably a ZTW 70A ESC that I already own. 4s 3000mAh batteries. APC 14x7. Should be pretty sweet, I think!

    More predictable pop tops

I love to do pop tops. Especially with my 58" Edge that spins like a top when you get it right. The problem is I don't always get it right. About 50% of the time, I get nice pop tops. 25% of the time I get something that looks like a crankshaft (spinning around the wing tube) and the remaining...

Looks like the weather is going to be OK on Sunday, so I'm definitely coming back for more! I think I'm going to start working on my 51" Slick tonight. Maybe I get to maiden it this weekend?

And you didn't have a ton of rain? I went to GCA on Saturday and it was drizzling or flat out raining most of the time. Got to spend some quality time with the 58 and the 72 at least. :)

    74" Edge 540

If not, the 72" Extra comes with a ton of spare horns. I bet he can borrow one from his 72 kit!

    74" Edge 540

Probably not. You may end up needing some tail weight, but you might get away with just moving the radio battery back a bit. If possible, dry fit everything and see where the CG ends up and if you can get it balanced by moving the battery. Saves you the trouble of relocating the rudder servo.

What is the best method for hinging controls?

Epoxy is definitely OK on Depron! Medium and thick CA should be fine too, but you may want to try it on a scrap piece.

Visited my favorite client today: The one that's 2 minutes from the flying field. Took my 58 Edge for an extended lunch break and put three packs through it. That didn't suck at all!

How to repair SFG blind nuts

We've all done it. A screw is a little dirty or has some slight deformation and we try to force it in and... POP... the blind nut on the other side comes loose. This can be a pain, since they are typically located in areas you can't reach. And this is especially true for the blind nuts holding...

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

FWIW, I talked to a guy who had run them side by side on force gauges and he told me the OS33 has 20% more thrust than the DLE30. I think I want one... :)

Ah surströmming! I've had it a few times, but I can't say I'm a fan. However, I have some friends who are true afficionados! The smell is like nothing you've ever felt. There are no words in the English language to describe the smell. The only saving grace is the "brännvin" which tends to make...
