Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

I use powerpoles so I don't need a adapter. I hook one batteries red to the others black and then hook the other two connector up to the ESC. Do I crimp it into the red on the ESC connector and hook the red up first?

Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

I sure am glad I got my 150HV from garret. Got it in the mail today in fact. Noticed the extra wire. Never put in a spark arrestor. Where do you get one?

    Trailers, Toy Haulers, Etc!

Spent part of Saturday wiring in my deep cell batts. I have my 12 and 24 setup now. Just need to find a charger that does not require buttons to start charging as I would just like to flip he power switch and know they are charging. LEDs are mainly what is left as well as more tie down points.

I would upgrade the hinges to the bigger robarts if I have not said that already. This tail is going to get a lot of force on it with that beastie.

Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

Thanks to this thread I ordered a 150HV over the 120HV. My amps should be south of 80, but it was only a few more grams and $10 more dollars. With the 28 pole hackers I know the castles are not happy.

    32" MXS-C! Backyard insanity!

Shot some raw footage of Cody doing a few flights. It was pretty windy, but I think everyone will be impressed with it's capabilities once it get's edited.

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

DA-70. Just got done breaking it in. Taking it to Nall, so I wanted to get some time on her. Also had a lot of fun with my 89 Slick with a DA-60/Smooth pipe. The 70 is lighter and produces more power than that combo. Only downside is noise as there is no header options yet for the motor...

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

Had a good day with mine. The right wing blind nuts both came out on the ground so I need to fish new ones up into the wing. The mej 25x8 evo is one killer prop. This thing was so stable slow with that thing. Basically like using a 20x7 instead of a 19x8 on 30cc. I will try the falcon 25x8W next...

    Discussion Gas vs. Electric

I can vouch for that. I have managed to eject both a electric motor (hacker A60-5S) and a gas engine (OS GT60 ). The hacker ran perfectly after cleaning out the mud, the OS ended up needing so much in parts I should have bought a new one. The electric motor is my one foray into a Ebox and it...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

The thing with the 35 is that no one knows anything. It has not been shown that I know of and only a few tidbits of RPM data from DA leaks. We assume quality from them, just like I assumed quality from OS for their 60. I suspect this plane will love a pipe as it will love speed. I am still...

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

My 71 slick gasser is a hog as I built it with the second elevator servo for balance reasons. Would not do that again. Something like 11.5 pounds. My 74 edge built with a single elevator servo and the "heavy" VVRC-40 is 10.75 and is a hoss.

Twisted Hobbys - Crack Turbo BEaver

Just got my quad flaps fixed. Need some not 30 mph wind to test fly it outdoors. Should make it on the Nall trip.

    Discussion Gas vs. Electric

With the new 70cc twins, I think gas is the way to go as you get lighter, more power, smoothness, and flight times. 30cc to me is a toss up. The electrics build lighter, more power, with the only downfall being the flight time. I am dinking with the 12s 3300 setup in a 30cc at the moment and...

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

I was talking about the 73. The 90ish is very similar to the 89 slick fuse. Servos go inside the stabs with a slot. My first 50cc was a EG raven and I would not have had it without the removable stabs for transport. I have never once taken a 30cc removable stab off for transport. I have had...

    Tulsa Oklahoma 3D Bash

The coach has a generator, but dad only wants to run that when we need the A/C or we are cooking. He got it through his wife and I am pretty sure I can get the time off so it looks favorable for us going. Good time of the year as things are winding down here at that point.

    Tulsa Oklahoma 3D Bash

We did not expect any. I did see that there was electric at the field. Could we hook up to that for basic lights and such with a extension chord. It has a generator and we dry camped at the fort smith event, and this being 3 days makes it easier.

Is there going to be overnight camping allowed. I just talked to my dad about bringing the RV as this only 5 hours for him to drive down here. Be another one of those ship a plane to him and build it on the way affairs as this is just plain too far to drive for me, but it gives me a excuse to...

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

I personally don't like profiles. Just a personal opinion, as they fly wonderfully, just not my thing. You will quickly discover that outside of profiles, 20cc makes little sense as there are so few airframes for those motors. Lord knows I tried last season with my Mintor 22 and OS GT22 to...

I think that question was asked on the RCG thread and Andrew said no to the removable stabs. Glue in stab.
