Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

For most I hand cut each checker out and put them on. I do have a roll of the predone ones that I use from time to time.

Looks good. Just remember the rudder has to be checkers. LOL Just kidding just happens to be that every version of this plane I have built has had some form of checkers used on the rudder. also I'm resending you the plans for the smaller one. Also will send the plans for a slightly different...

Yes opentx is awesome. I personally always do my initial program in companion but after that unless I feel I need to make a major change I do it from the radio.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I just use these custom sanding blocks that I make and used to sell. Very easy to just hold in my hand and make a couple light passes but have often thought about making up my own jig like the bottom pic to dial things in exact.

Looks great. Go ahead and fully assemble it without covering including all servos and the engine and what not to see where it balances. That will let you know ahead of time if the tail servos need to be mounted further forward or not.

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

A buddy of mine got one of these and let me fly it yesterday. Little joker flys really good and in my opinion would serve as a decent 3D trainer. has differential thrust so can do wicked flat spins and was rock solid in harriers with little to no aileron correction needed while turning...

Unless you really want a tail wheel I always just go for an aluminum tail skid to save weight.

Looking at your picture again it needs to move forward some comparing it to the CAD drawing. Make it line up even here and it should all fit properly then.

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

I think what I would do if you want to get more rudder throw is to instead of modifying the elevator just extend the slot on the fuse to move the stab forward just a little bit. moving it what looks like the 1/4 to 3/8 it needs so there is no clearance issue in the elevator movement may be...
