78'' Extra

Hopefully you can bring it to Vermont the next weekend. If you end up missing any parts, I have a plethora of gasser bits in my shop at your disposal.

Thanks Matt,
That's the goal. To finish, test, setup and break in before VT. May be a tall order but you gotta have goals.
All the parts are coming from several sources and should be at the house when I get back Sunday,Tuesday at latest. I'll get all the basic and cosmetics done then we do the engine mods- Bowman ring and reed check. Then it's to Gary's for pipe fitting and tuning and mounting. I bought the Valley steel single shaft prop adapter. That will allow easier prop changes and for me to use the used CF spinner and eliminate custom standoffs. That's the hope anyway.

Hope to follow you're build here... (Or if you make a new thread for it).

It's been really nice to watch and learn so much!

If Hone doesn't mind me piggybacking I think it may offer a nice compare/ contrast for those on the fence on engines like I was.

I definitely don't mind. I'd really enjoy following your build here.

Great! It's not a "true build" since I bought it used but we will be rebuilding it from vinyl to power plant. I'll try to document with pics as we go then vid when I fly it.

I built mine in 4 days, you can do it! And I was just working 3 hours or so in the garage each night. Build is quick and easy. The hardest part is getting all of the hinging done. After that it's super fast.

Thanks Ryan, it's all "built" so it's just a matter of going through it and making any repairs then doing the engine mods and tuning/ mounting the pipe. I think we can do it too.

I know a few people are looking at installing a DLE35 on this plane so any pics of the engine install and info on standoffs/mounting would be great.

I went with the steel single shaft prop adapter so that will be an improvement and easier for prop testing. The firewall has had a little modification so my mounting will be a bit different as far as standoffs.
