Sounds fun :)

Hopefully i'll have mine flying again soon. I was planning on using it to compete this year as well but i don't think that it's going to happen. Maybe next year.

I am loving it! What's not to love- engine running great, mire than enough power, flies solid and smooth, tumbles great and lands effortlessly.
I have not been compensated for this ad!

Thanks for letting me fly it. That was the first time I really got to work with it as all the flights when I "owned" it were power system test flights. Can't wait for the container to arrive so I can transplant the 40 twin.

That will be nice power for this one. Reviewing videos. Have to put a couple on youTube. Or wait til I get some better editing software. Need audio mixing software for PC as well- anyone?

Got my VVRC 40cc twin mounted today. Just waiting on a new fortitude tank and some stuff for the throttle linkage and i'll have it running. Shooting for next weekend. The engine fits very nicely inside the cowling.

I can't wait to fly this beautiful plane again!!!

Anyone know where i can get an EZ link that is like the ones that come with the kit? The only ones i can find have those black push on backings instead of being threaded for a nut to hold it on. I lost the one that came with the plane.

If i can't find that and i only have a rod that is threaded on one side, can i just epoxy a ball link to the side with no threads? This is for my throttle servo.

I used a cf rod with titanium threaded ends on the throttle. Those ball links are Dubros. Central Hobbies. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374745872.902419.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1374746000.706425.jpg
Cut the cf to length and epoxy the titanium end then attach the ball link. Works nice and reduces a little vibration.

Joe,
any pics of that 40cc motor mated to the Extra? Would love to see some shots of it.
Got an email back from DA a few days ago when I inquired about the DA-35 availability, they said parts are on the way and it should be soon. So who knows when that motor will come out.
I recently acquired a 50cc Yak 54 at a terrific price and am now trying to decide whether to grab another 78" Extra when they come back in stock, or to just fly the Yak until the 78" MXS comes out...

Here are some photos of mine on the Yak. The extra is a living room compared to this cowl.

Curtis told me last week there were gassers in the container coming mid month August.
