For tailwheels, I really like the J&J. This one came from Terry’s Custom, but I’m not seeing them on the website at the moment.

They make a beautiful tailwheel. I need something with some give to it due to my rocky/nasty terrain. The spring wire titanium is appealing.

Edit: The J&J Tailwheels are for 35-42% planes. so the 120cc range, probably too much for my 50-70cc airframe?

Have several of their tail wheels best of any I have ever used the titanium one is my favourite just absolutely bullet proof. And after you use the pull springs again never use anything else.

Got my J&J tailwheel in. Made a pull pull bracket on the rudder. Ended up using the springs supplied and some steel leader/crimps. Seems happy. I was pulling out my hair getting the geometry right with ball links and fuel tubing and said ya know... let’s go old school and fix it later if I do t like it. So wham!

I used the screw hole supplied with the OEM gear, knocked out the blind nuts, and put a balsa block in the tail for the long wire to go into. Used the supplied brackets, painted them gray and the rest is history. The bracket I made is from 1/8” G10 carbon.

Looks good you will be happy with that never need to look at it again. So they supplied the little brackets with the gear normally you had to make your own.
