I stopped at 400 grit. Could have easily kept going to 1000/2000 grit. No reason other than I like to sand. The filler is Rock Hard and it is. And very light.

Test run on the fuel tank cover.

I have used that filler before. It works great but certainly want to only put on the bare minimum needed with how much time it takes to sand it back down.

I use it to fill large gap in wallboard before taping. Can't image sanding it next to balsa?

Tony, it's sanded out fine but in some areas you are correct, it would be too hard.
