So @stangflyer and @Terryscustom and @Spats say "nord locks" work great, huh? I remember seeing a video on them, and when the video was over they were the best, but I said to myself, "did they just try all the other fasteners at 20lbs torque and the nord locks at 30lbs torque?". I was going to watch the video again to figure that part out, but I never did. Okay, well, I'd better try some... ordering!

How about these dyna locks from microfasteners.com?

And, if nord locks are good how about these X nord locks, new and improved? haha

In the old days I never used a set screw and always got my canisters to stay attached. But, on the Sukhoi I ran 2 screws per clamp (8 screws total for the plane), and on this plane I'm trying 1 screw per clamp (4 screws total for the plane).

What screws are you using for this?

I have a ProFlow can in my Edge and I haven't had any slipping problems yet but I've been thinking about using a couple screws to make sure things stay where they should.

They're like 3/8" long #3 flat head screws, I think. I'll check when I get back in the garage. I dremel'd out a countersink for them in the teflon and put them under the wide solid part of the clamp.

NO on the dyna locks....nothing compared to Nordlocks. Actually I prefer the standard stainless nord-locks because they are thicker and can be used over and over almost indefinitely. Use them for mufflers, and prop bolts. http://www.mcmaster.com/
