Diggity, how is the build going? Are you making any progress?

Everything is glued. Hinges, arms, etc. Servos mounted and wires ran. Just waiting on the Omega motor from 3dhs, and 50 Ice Lite from LHS. I think this friendly wager won't even be close. Because unless Santi is sandbagging, he still is waiting on the power system, servos.

Don't forget time! He doesn't have any! :p

Made a move on the motor. I decide to go with the Sunny Sky 2820 920kv over the Omega 130g. At $39 shipped for the Sunny Sky, I couldn't pass up that deal. I've had 3 different Omega 130s, and have been happy with all 3. But decided to go a different route. Besides, now me and Santi can compare the two now. He will be running the Omega with Savox 0257s, and I will be running the Sunny Sky with Hitec 65MGs.

interested in how the sunnyskys work out. i have the Omega 130 in mine and really like it. seems like its better for slow and low compared to my Motorfly 2815-950 thats in my buck 50 edge. i really like the motorfly too, seems its alil better for high energy.

Sunnyskys are great motors, just be careful not to over prop. They can handle a ton of power/heat, but only have two bearings inside.

I was going to run the 14x7 on 3s 2200s.

I'd try it on the 13x6.5 first and see if your happy... but it will turn the 14x7 well... I had the same motor on 3s/14x7 in a PA U-AMR and it was nice.
Again, just keep an ear out for the bearings, and change them quickly if they start to make noise.
