30cc airframe electric motor mounting concern

Nylon is better than wood spacers. I agree that washers, especially on th front of the firewall are a good idea. The point of the spacer is to not compress. Wood certainly compresses. Electrics are subject to different forces than the gasser. The main week point is the length of the total...

Extreme Flight RC 91" Yak 54 build

Don't discount the Mejzlik 25x8evo. I ran that most of the season and preferred it over the Falcon which I also have. Both are good choices. If you want more speed than the 24x10TH is still tops.

My New 3D Extra 300 Prototype For Fly-Model

I would think electric is easier on a prototype as you have flexibility wih trying different power setups with different props and cell counts as well as being easier on the frame. Once you get things worked out you can hang a gas motor on it.

    EF 30-40cc. Laser VS MXS

Not much difference in length. The Redwing has a bigger wing and thicker fuse. This is why putting a DA-50 into the MXS works.

    EF 30-40cc. Laser VS MXS

The Laser is a bit shorter than the MXS and has a wider fuse and is a little better internal design in my opinion. What power plant you going with? My laser fits in my SUV where a 50cc won't, so I understand that issue. Just that my 87" redwing slick is essentially the same money to put...

    15cc EF 60" Edge 540T-EXP Gasser

It is still working. I thought I would use this more in the winter as I can transport it assembled and it would run better in the cold. Not gotten it out yet. I even have skis for it.

    EF 30-40cc. Laser VS MXS

Here is a video of the MXS Tyler shot for me on a prop that plain did not work on my setup, but you can see how agressive the MXS is. Also this is before I discovered that I like the SFGs with no tips best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhsewh-Pakw

    EF 30-40cc. Laser VS MXS

This is a pretty open ended conversation. First the EF 60" Edge is about as good as it gets in performance. Aeroplayin uses a PAR system that ranks that airframe at the very top in the currently available aiframes, so of course you love it. I have all of 30 seconds on a 91" Yak (my flight...

    Aerobeez Extra 260SS 50cc electric?

So I take it you are developing your own electric 50cc airframe? If so that would be really nice and unique in the market place.

Well if anyone wants a proflow I have 2 mediums and a small I have listed at various times over at FG for sale. I have moved onto ES pipes. I thought the small was going to be used with the VVRC-40, but they now say you need a medium.

Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

My issue was throttle acceleration. I tried the firmware beta over the summer and it did solve the issue, but led to another issue. It is a work in progress and I have moved onto Jeti Mezons for telemetry reasons. I continue to use the 6s Geckos, mainly 85A ones. I know a lot of us with 28...

Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

I am switching to all Jeti/Hacker Mezons for telemetry reasons. Plus I get very little flying in till late March so I would not be a good tester. These are a good value if you get the throttle issue worked out.

A few of us got some cold weather flying in on Sunday. Cody flew my new 74" Laser around with the Falcon 20x9 on DA-35/ES pipe and showed me a bit of what it is truly capable of. The combo is ALMOST too fast. Stupid amount of tail authority. It has been windy every single time I have had it...

    Aerobeez Extra 260SS 50cc electric?

Team Aerobeez I see this ARF on your site, but I can find almost no information on it outside of it's product page. Is 17 pounds flying weight truly obtainable on a Q80? Seems like a older design with the aluminum landing gear. Any videos out there...

Black Friday / Cyber Monday - What did you get?

I got a Goblin 700 competition and basically all the stuff for it. Also got some stuff for a future monster electric. I usually buy something from 3DHS from their BF sale, but this year I only got a cowling for my 89 slick so that I can put the DA-70 in it as my old one was hacked up for the 60...

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

I sold my 88" edge. It was not my type of airplane. I like ghoffman 's 91 better when he had the CG more aft. The 94" MXS is maybe even bigger than the extra with a very big fuse. Both will need a DA-70 or equivalent electric. If you want a edge, I would steer you to the 3DHS 92" edge. That is...

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

My story was to illustrate the point of having parts waiting for a airframe. I had an entire 120cc setup waiting for me to pick a airframe that eventually was the 110 Yak. I am gathering parts for a monster electric that will be in a EF airframe. I have mostly abondoned the 3DHS threads due...
