The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Next little project update was the 170 upfront on the Sukhoi. She also has been running most impeccably. But figured since I was updating the 157, I would update her as well. I purchased all the gaskets and the updated aluminum reed block for the 170. Funny thing about reeds...

Next little project, since I sold...Oh yeah, ya'll don't know this yet. I had an offer on Baby, (SD 260) and decided... it was time she went to a new home. I have way too many 40 centers and well, it was time. I flew her and enjoyed her for a solid 5 years with virtually zero issues. She is now...

So I got some files snagged from the old dying laptop. I will try to get as many posted as I can before I die.... Hee hee. Where to start? Ok, how about the update to the Baby Yak? I had been quite impressed with the BE62 up front yanking it around, but with the current situation with BE, I...

Wow...so much going on. Snoop...that planes looks so "PRETTY". I really like. Tanner....nice....Niiiiice! I started a miniature railroad for my son @Shayne Epley back when he was just a little tyke. We got a really great start on it, but alas it sits in a huge foot locker at present as the...

Hey David, Oh yeah... just been really busy and have had computer issues. Bad...BAD, computer issues. Ah but I am getting a grip on it. Got my new laptop up and running. Slowly getting files from the previous transferred on to the new one. Why is it you can spend a thousand dollars on a laptop...

Hello gents.... I am so sorry my absence has been so long. I could use many excuses like....um I went to Bermuda and decided to stay. Yeah, that wouldn't work cuz they aint got no redheads down there. LOL. Truth is, Along with being "LITERALLY" slammed at work....(between 65-70 hours per week)...

I will be using ultrakote. I have had the option of doing others but I like ultracote the best and mostly because I know it and its capabilities and tolerances. As for paint, I will be using Wings West RC paint again like I did on the little Jtec Pitts. I want a perfect match to the covering...

Pilot 40% 330 Recover and Build

Remembering what my first Behemoth Yak looked like, the white should still look pretty nice. It gave it a very crisp look. I'm hoping for the same outcome with the 330.

Thank you for that suggestion. I had actually considered that. However, I already have the stabs and elevators covered both top and bottom. Plus I have a brand-new 10-meter roll of white plus an extra roll of white. So I'm a little too late.

Not much time the last few days to do anything on the 330. Let alone stop by to say hi. But...I did manage to get the rough draft of the scheme from my artist. She's so awesome. I like what she has done with an idea that simply and quite literally "popped" upon me Sunday at the field. I had...

There's that smiling face. I'd smile too. Awesome plane, obviously awesome daughter. Good news for me is that our employer here has stepped up to the plate again. He has now added a new benefit. Paid vacations. (Most construction companies do not offer it) This makes my hope to meet you and that...

I can honestly attest after having two little girls myself, they are by far the sweetest smelling and most awesome little people I had ever met. Now grown and on their own, I wish for those days when they were small. Enjoy her while you can. Enjoy every minute.

It has been over a week since I painted the new canopy for the Behemoth yak. I figure the paint should be cured enough to handle so now would be a good time to finish the last expensive step in replacing the canopy. What insurance policy can you buy to ensure that you reinstall your canopy bolts...

Wanted Wanted DA-100I or 3W-110iR2 Inline Twin

It is definitely "NOT" wacky to put a "dub" in a Stang. After all, that is also my intention as well. But I am really wanting to find a "CS" for my project. Maybe I should be doing the same thing. Posting a wanted add. I would love to have a 150'ish inline twin for my project. Guess we'll see...
