    Aerobeez 90" Extra 330SC (50cc)

Aerobeez 90" Extra 330SC (50cc) Volt meter to test that you have 25V Instead of 50V as that will fry most watt meters. I got out my old harness and tested. Both sides are 25v at the battery. Shawn was referring to hooking the RX input on the optima. It is only rated for 6s and I guess it is...

    Aerobeez 90" Extra 330SC (50cc)

I would do this on the low side which is the one with the negative to the ESC. When is doubt, get out the volt meter so you don't fry something. I remember something Shawn Spiker said about hooking up a Optima RX in a 12s setup about this.

    Aerobeez 90" Extra 330SC (50cc)

NJSwede is correct. You hook the watt meter up in line with one of the batts. Read the amps. It will show half the watts since it is only showing the voltage out of the one batt. The amps will be equal in both batts. I did this in my 12S setup.

    74" Edge 540

The edge builds out a bit on the tail heavy side, so having a heavier motor is not such a bad thing. Personally I would go with the Hacker A60-5S. https://www.aero-model.com/8_72_1127/Brushless-Motors_Hacker-Brushless-Motors-A60-Series/A60-5S-V2.html The other choice is the Motrolfly 4330. I...

    74" Edge 540

And most of my experience on the 330SC is on electric. The Edge builds out heavier so that might be part of it. Patrick has resurrected fully the old one that I owned 2 owners ago. I think I talked him today into taking advantage of the ADC hobby sale to get a spare fuse. We will have a fly...

Your Thoughts on An Electric System for a 73" SU-26

I almost picked that MXS for my 10cc project! I am interested in your flight report. Any weight data you have would be wonderful. Might be better for the 15cc. Not another project for me! The alternative to the 4330 is the Hacker A60-6XS. I have one and it is a very good 3D motor...

    74" Edge 540

of the 30cc 3DHS airframes, I like this one the best. Bigger does fly better, but this is a very nice airframe in this class.

    Aerobeez 90" Extra 330SC (50cc)

The 8mm to 10mm issue is the same as the OS GT33. I bought some 8mm ID 10mm OD tubing to make bushings. Is there a place in the tail for the rudder servo to do a push pull? I really prefer that if I have a choice.

Your Thoughts on An Electric System for a 73" SU-26

What motor did the miss wind have? The website says it was built for the A50-16S. I used to have the 14S version of that motor in a Osiris. The A50-16L is a 10S motor, probably used in pattern planes with a kv of 265. It is rated for 1900 watts, but we all know that Hacker motors are under...

    Extreme Flight 104 Extra

Cody baffled his. I had to send my motor back to DA for a issue with the back cylinder, so I think the airflow will be beneficial.

    74" Edge 540

We are going to put the rudder servo in the tail like my first one. I hope the CG works out as well. The RX is going where the rudder servo goes for pull pull and bats are going the same place you have them.

    Servo bench testing

I have not done any research, but I don't know what method to use for speed testing. I tend to believe speed info more than torque, but those D658s were way off.

Have you flown any of the 28 pole motors? I like the idea of a more efficient motor. I honestly don't understand the advantages of them, but I have had good expereinces with my A60-6XS and Q80-8M.

    Servo bench testing

Everything 30cc and up gets metal arms. during some testing we watched the dubro arms flex. Only thing I need in the box are the grommets. I also change all the servo screws to socket head cap screws. M2.6 for Hitec and M3 for all the rest except JR. Not sure what they use.

    Servo bench testing

I tried the D658s on the 10cc Sabre and they were slow and centered poorly. It flew a whole lot better on spektrum 5040s. Nowhere near the specs they say. http://www.hobbypartz.com/33p-solarservo-d658.html

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

I might have to go down the crimson bovine graphics route. I have the silver 74 and I had no issues seeing that, even in overcast. The red tips is what helps me. We shall see.

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

I did not think of it. Someone on RCG posted a picture just after I did this at a angle. It can't go straight back because of the 2 piece cowl ring. Structurally this is better for the cowling I think, but not as pretty. Also it worked better up and down with the cable to the ignition box as...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

This plane was announced almost 2 years ago and unveiled at SEFF 2012. I noticed there is not a dedicated thread on it yet on any forums so I figured I would start one. Here is the information I have managed to get. 76" wingspan, 85" with the racing tips comes in both a gas and electric...

    Servo bench testing

Those are new to me. I only use 6V standard servos on a few 40 size planes. I have a few Power HD servos in those. If they meet spec, then they should be a good 30cc servos on a LiFE pack.

Cost comparison, budget 60cc versus top shelf 30cc

I tested Solar 770, 771, and 772s a couple of weeks ago. http://3drcforums.com/showthread.php?2282-Servo-bench-testing/page2 I also have flown all three of these servos in a Pilot 73" Yak 54. They first two do not have the torque needed for a 30cc 3D plane, and the 772 has the torque, but is...
