    Flight report: I'm very happy with it!! All smiles in Green Bay! It needed just a click of elevator for level flight. The GP and ES pipes are super quiet and at 13.5" header length is spot on. Really smooth combination. Endless power. My CG was good., just a ever so slight fall on a 45 line...

    Thanks guys! Hoping to finish the radio install and tank tonight. Tomorrow I'll sort out the wings and hopefully Friday finish the radio program. Saturday run and give the airframe a good shakedown. And hopefully if weather cooperates Sunday will be the maiden. My fingers are crossed!

    I once had a Gary Wright E3D. Forgot to strap the batteries in. They fly a whole lot different when those fall out!

    Guys, can I run a pin and flag switch such as a booma or smart-fly with a JR power safe dmss rx. If I'm correct the rx balances the batteries. So I shouldn't need a fromeco switch. Am I thinking correctly?

    Motor is mounted, firewall pinned, throttle servo hooked up, rudder hooked up, pipes are in and tail wheel ready to go.

    I got the cowl ring made. Went a different route than planned. So I put the cowl back together. It is mounted from the inside of the fuse. I wanted to try and keep the cowl clean looking. It took some time but was able to get a nice gap between cowl and hatch.

    It's been a while since I've posted but the construction field is in full swing keeping me busy. Nonetheless the cowl is finished. My first crack at it and super happy with it! It's going to need a little trimming. I cut the cowl in two for ducting. Then I melted the foam with lacquer...

    I wasn't able to find a cowl so I made a plug out of pink foam. I then covered it with Ultracoat light and waxed it 3 times. I'm laying down 3 layers of 6oz cloth using west systems epoxy. I'm lightly sanding between layers. I hope this works because I really don't want to do it again.

    Here's another way, I used it on my last build and had good results. Didn't have access to a bandsaw and my little scroll saw wasn't up for the job. I marked out the top and bottom of my wing, I then used a straight edge and exacto knife to make my cuts on both sides. This next part kinda...
