Years ago at a small RC field in Illinois, I saw a young guy run out to hand launch a small plane, and he threw the transmitter instead of the plane....and another time tripped over his own feet, and planted the plane nose first into the ground!! Shortly after that, he learned to ROG...

3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics

Quite truthfully, Deans work the same way....they spark on the ends, and then make full contact on the flat of the blades....Any pitting is just on the ends.... SteveT.

You're going to love it!! Try a Mejzlik 24X10TH carbon prop....or I saw the video of Joe Smith flying the new 91" Edge with a Q80, and according to Jim Smith, Joe was using a 24X9 Falcon carbon prop, and it was quite impressive.... SteveT.

The problem is that even though we love 3D, (I just wish I was better at it), 3D fliers "are" really in the minority at most club fields, and magazine tend to go with what is seen at said fields. I receive all of the aforementioned magazine, and Model Airplane news has the most 3D coverage, BUT...

    74" Edge 540

None.....the motor bolted right to the firewall leaving a spinner gap of a little less than 3/32", which is a bit more than I like, but certainly nothing egregious... SteveT.

Yes....though not every issue....with the exception of Flying Models, which doesn't, but still has more info for young kids (I.E. rubber power planes)... SteveT

Model Airplane News, RC Sport Fliyer, Fy RC, and Flying Models are the main U.S. based ones. There are some very good British ones, but also pretty expensive. There are of course also RC helicopter and RC car magazines, but as I do not subscribe to them, I don't know the names of them. If...

    3DHobbyShop 51" AJ Slick

As those of you who have the 51" Slick, may have found out, if using lighter batteries in it, it can be a bit of a bear to strap them in well......So, I have re-designed my existing battery tray for the "Byper" to accept larger batteries (up to...1.4" High X 1.9375 wide X 6.125" long). and am...

True....it isn't inexpensive....and you don't get the flight time, but for me, it just works out best.....But I was just commenting about the horse power....:D :D SteveT.

But...everybody runs the HS-7955TG on HV, and if you call HitecRCD, they will tell you it is fine on HV. I run them in my 89" Slick directly off of two 2S 25 C 2700mAH packs run through a "Power Safe" receiver. I also have them in my 74" EDge, run on 7.4 volts off of a BEC Pro..... Sorry...
