It's fun, and challenging. If you're like me - the little obstacles to overcome that teach yourself a new trick are rewarding, 3D printing is no exception and a down right fun way to see your creation come to life and actually WORK!

Got my tail wheel fully mounted. Except I’ve bent the spring so many times it broke. I’ll need to replace it. I think the moment of the tire in relation to the pivot point decreased its rotation. May need to change that. Other than that I like it a lot.
2.5oz more than my other design overall. The original tire looks pewnie.

Wow I like that nicely done it just looks right. All the shapes you add to the design looks so real.

One of last things that was required for the plane got it installed and fitted to the propeller. Hopefully it cools as well as everybody says it does. Just have wait for the Tailwheel parts form HH.

Trying a more robust spring. This version doesn’t turn like the last one I had on with the 2” wheel. Hmmm.

@AKNick have a question just received my new Tailwheel from HH and again they sent me Tailwheel only 2 spring leafs and the one on the plane is only two leafs. Yours shows three, do you think I need three leafs.

Sounds like you have four now ha ha ha.
If your going to plop it down like I do, maybe so.
I don’t think you are going to flatten it out with just two. I like the extra rigidity.

Maybe they decided the plane only needs 2 leafs, mine also came with 2 only.

If it only comes with two I will try it, but it looks really soft. Time will tell, just have to wait for spring.
