LOVE IT!!!View attachment 115059 View attachment 115060 View attachment 115061 Ok, right after I made that last post above this one, I went and spent about an hour and a half working to modify the Xcub gear. I LOVE how it turned out. I chopped about 20 mm off the end of the lower bar where the springs are attached and drilled a new hole about 15 mm closer in to the springs. It allows the gear to sit about an inch and a half higher for better clearance, also the stance doesn’t look so wide and it gives a slight camber to the tires. Basically it looks like a lot of STOL/bush full scale planes you see flying like the guys from flying cowboys. I like it so much better! Much more scale looking and better clearance. Now I am going to try the mod with switching out the metal springs for the bungee cords. This should make it the ultimate for articulating and better STOL drop ins! cheers!

Ouch. You guys see this Timber Mid-Air on YouTube yet? So much for visual separation in a beautiful blue sky...
Control horns all in -- getting ready to mount servos etc. AKNick I'm going with 2 inch arms on the wing, and 3.5 inch offset rudder arm. That's what worked for you correct? 1.5" ok for elevators? Is the consensus that the wing attach blind nut needs to be re-glued?
Thanks
Brad
