Any ideas how to redrill

Fill in the old holes with a piece of wooden dowl that is the right size then more you hinge location over 1/2" or so.

Nope so long as you glue the wooden dowls in good you will be good to go.

Btw, you can also just make plugs out of balsa and glue them in with a gap filling glue like Gorilla Glue. If you are concerned with strength just double up the back side (inside of the aileron/surface) with another scrap of 3/8" sq. balsa.

Cap strips almost done. It's amazing the strength that is added.

Yup they add tremendous strentgh and once you throw some covering on it it will be even stronger.

Do my cap strips look to wide. They are 1/2". I tried 3/8 but looked small
