    Welcome!

IMAC Dalton 300 ml build thread.

i just did a CG and balance test using 2 scales and a block, with ,measurements plugged into an XL spreadsheet. (this technique is described by Wayner Geffon).
this is what i got:

total weight is 45.90 pounds.
cg is at 35 inches back from the spinner tip.
the recommended is between range of 35 and 36"

As of today, it is finished

it is outfitted with Jeti
and CB 200

i have done failsafe for all the servos as well as range check.
the CG has been set and tested,
lateral balance has been checked as well.

the motor has been run and afterwards, i checked for leaks. I also checked to see if any screws around servos/horns had come loose.

this baby is ready to fly!!

just waiting on good weather now.

IMAC FANATIC

40% happier than most folks.
Sound of applause .. fanfare. . Trumpets .. well done sir, well done indeed! Nervous anticipation is all that s left now.

thank you all for the nice compliments and i want to wish you all a very happy new year.
I want to point out the deviations from the plans:
1. rudder with no counterbalance
2. surface hard points are rectangular and not round
3. surface horns are G10 material and not bolts
4. the root side of ailerons are 2 inches shorter than plans
5. wings have installed anti-rotation pins in addition to the bolt threads
6. anti-rotation pins on stabs and wings are made of titanium, instead of the hardwood for the stabs.
7. increased cross bracing in fuselage, instead of / there are X's
8. bottom of fuselage is sheeted with balsa.

many of these factors contribute to the increased weight in my airplane.
