    Jr28x

There was an email sent out yesterday to explain the delay for all those that did a preorder. There is was a vendor issue with some of the parts not meeting JR's specifications. This has been corrected as of now and they are back on track for getting the radios completed. They stopped production...

    Generators?

For 3 years I have used a harbor freight 800W generator. If I set it on the other side of my trailer where people are not at you can just barely hear it. A month ago my current employer gave me a 2000W Honda. So now I have to decide what generator I want in my trailer now. The Honda is a great...

    Which Radio System Is Best?

I have only used the JR telemetry. I did purchase a Venom temp gauge to monitor engine temps but that was the extent of it until I switched over the JR DMSS.

    Which Radio System Is Best?

I to have been loving my XG11. I have about a 100 flights on it between several planes. I never really cared about telemetry but since I have it now I really like it. The alarms are setable but the minimum time is 10 seconds. I would like to see that adjustable to 1 or 2 seconds personally. But...

    JR DMSS Temp Sensor

I have not played with the 14 but the XG11 saves both low and high recorded temps and receiver voltage's that I monitor. For the XG11 you scroll through to the right on the main screen till you get to the other menu. Highlight the telemetry data you want and it will pull it up.

Your Opinion-This is not a "Which radio is best" thread!!!

Programming wise the 11X is similar to the XG11. The current 11X is running the Spektrum DMSX protocol which works with DSM2. Pretty much all of what Spektrum used for 2.4. However you do not get the telemetry with the 11X as you do with the XG11. X Buss is also not an option with the 11X but...

Help with making my own servo extension, question on the wire...

I have been setting up my large planes for 4 or 5 years on the tail like the picture. I have never had any issues with the connectors coming out or even appearing to be backing out. I use a similar set up for the main wings.

Help with making my own servo extension, question on the wire...

There are these http://rcaircraftcomponents.com/products/secure-wire-clevis/ and I have used hot glue to hold connectors together in some cases. I still prefer the heat shrink over the connector. The nonglue type heat shrink. The shrink with adhesive tends to be a pain to remove.

Help with making my own servo extension, question on the wire...

for a large plane I always use 20 gauge wire. Straight style wiring and not spiral. You add quite a bit of extended length of wire when you twist the wire. Warm wires and warm connectors means resistance. That is a sign to step up and get bigger wire or connectors.

    DLE 120 temperature alarm

I set my engines in the 330F range. I don't like to see much over 300F on long uplines.

I was able to find this http://www.futaba-rc.com/faq/faq-receivers-q1060.html

    42% electronics

What recievers are the boards in that you are referring to? Also do you have a link where Futaba recommends Smart fly. I have a lot of friends that fly Futaba and several are team pilots that use 2 7008 recievers are dual 14 channel recievers with no Smart fly boards.

If I was in your boat I would use dual Futaba R7008SB's receiver's. I like the idea of splitting the plane in half for with receiver's. The likely hood of a receiver failure is very little I find it to be cheap peace of mind. If you like the clean look on the fuse, you can have Fromeco...

The FAA just "went there" NOT GOOD. ALL RC Aircraft = REAL AIRCRAFT

I work in the medical field. Transportation to be exact. Our medical director sent this notice to all mobile employee's. I took out all names and identifying names or cities. Health care is pretty particular about this stuff however since it was a mass email im sure it is fine but just covering...

RG611B 6ch DMSS Park Flyer Rx

What kind of distance are you looking to get. Park flyer recievers have less range than standard recievers. I have a small foamie warbird for some dog fight fun that I use a RG411B receiver in it and the range is much farther than I expected. I would say around 600-1000' distance with no issues.

Your Opinion-This is not a "Which radio is best" thread!!!

Airtronics is pretty popular at one of the clubs I belong to. Many people like the radio a lot. One member did find out that they are not strong enough to make it through getting ran over by a golf cart:confused:

    Hangar 9 3.1M Sukhoi

well got excited to fast. The Monocote color is not really close to the orange of any of the painted surfaces. So it looks like another Horizon Hobby order is in the works.
