Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Yeah, that would be a LOT of thrust. I bet it did funky things when you got on and off the throttle.:oblong:

Thanks Rob! Here is the real master on cowl splitting. https://www.giantscalenews.com/threads/splitting-cowls-made-easy.1827/ The tank mount came from 3DRC Hobbies.

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

I think what I used was 4oz and it's 2 layers. It was all I had other than 1.5 oz and 3/4 oz. I used what I had laying around and I had just enough to do it. Hopefully it will be stiff enough, but if not, adding more to the back side once it's apart should be easy. Time will tell.

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

I made it out today. It was hot, but not near as humid as it has been, so it was pretty nice really. My GP61 in my Pilot Edge was being a giant pain today. It took forever to prime, which it's always done, but usually it starts pretty quick after it pops. Today after the pop all you would get...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

I made quite a bit of progress the last few days. I installed the gear, axles, wheels, and wheel pants. I've been using #6 bonded washers on 4-40 bolts to hold my wheel pants on for several years now and it's worked out great. I've never had one come loose, and they have just a little bit of...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

That's a cool scheme. I've never seen that one before. If the Behemoth Yaks Behemoth Brother needs a Behemoth Cousin let me know.;) I just found out today that this needs a new home:(

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

This will be from my own plans since there aren't any kits out there that I know of. At this point I'm thinking 28% which makes the top wing span 80" and the length 65". Since this isn't going to be a true scale airplane I may shorten the span just a tad and lengthen the fuse a bit, but not...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

I finished up a few things tonight. The tail wheel springs and rudder linkage and hinge pin are on for good. I left the right side on the rudder horn, even though I'm only using the left side, just in case I need to add another servo. I also installed the 300x graphics to both sides of the...

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

On the top of the list right now is a 28% Culp Special. I have another spare DA50 so that would be the power. As I design it I will probably be picking your brain about how things were done on your Pitts. There are several bipe fanatics here that I'll be hitting up as well.:) This is what I...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

I finished up the cowl vents tonight. Unfortunately the factory stripe isn't centered so things look off, but it's the bottom of the airplane so I'll live with it.

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

Thanks Rob, I'm going to wait till the new Extra is flying before dealing with Miss Moana, but I'm anxious to fly it when it's balanced better.

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

Rob, I may be planning a new scratch build biplane project and may be picking your brain about your Pitts if you don't mind.

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

Lighter is better, so if you trust the 62 give it a try. I flew a 22 pound Extra with a GP61 and a 24 x 9 and the power was surprising. Knocking the extra weight off might offset any power loss, and add that to the better flight characteristics of less weight, you might like it.
