I hope you mean the EF 104 Extra. That thing is the real deal. Cody just won the IMAC worlds freestyle with his. The only new 120cc ARF that has my interest at the moment is the new 3DHS 106 Edge. I have loved all their edges and I don't see why this one will be any different.

I am on call all week so I could be around anytime, just depends if work calls. Friday is not great as we have a float fly event starting then.

I always seem to have projects to talk about. I used to do a lot of conference calls at work so I know there is a limit to how big a group you can manage.

    Servo bench testing

I know I am glutton for trying new things. I ordered a single one of these to test. If that goes well I will get a set and use them on one of my planes. They appear to be rebranded KST servos and I have had good experiences so far with the 3509s. I am using them in my Aerobeez 90" Extra and...

    Aeroworks 30cc Laser 200 ARF-QB

I shot a high quality video for Tyler the other week and hopefully he will get it up when he gets back. I got to fly this plane and it is super smooth. Comfortable is a good word for it. It is very precise and easy to fly and very nice on the electric setup. It is not going to compete with...

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

I have had zero issues with my BKs and I would buy them again. These are the servos Cody went to. http://www.helidirect.com/rjx-hv-mini-servo15wx36lx315h-suitable-all-500-heli-size-p-34114.hdx Below .10 I can't tell a difference, so the extra torque would be nice. He has had a few failures...

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

I run the BKs in my 60 laser. Cody runs a RJX servo that is slightly slower (like .06) and has more torque and seems to hold up better to being used in a airplane. They are all around the $100 price point. They also weight .5 ounces more each. I like 7245MHs and I will probably use these next...

Redwing 50cc slick 540 build log

I ran a Mej 24x10TH on my Q80-8M. It is a pretty good prop for a electric setup in this power range. My GT60 on a ES pipe seems happier on a 23x10 so that is some serious power you are getting. What RPM?

I had the bullet come undone on my new AJ laser on Friday. It arced so bad that I could not put them back together and it kicked so hard on the 2 phases that is spun the prop bolt loose. Luckily I have a seperate BEC and the plane lands like a dream. On the really big stuff people just...

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

I electrical taped them together. Got a number of very windy flights on it today. Tried a few props. Started with Falcon 21x10, then Xoar 21x10 today, then a Vess 20B as that is the prop I will use on the VVRC 40 and DA-35, and finally the Falcon 20x12 which is the speed/XA prop. Got 2 turns...

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

I maidened my 73" yesterday. CG was a little too far aft do there was some coupling. Wonderful rolls and yes, super simple to land. Second flight with bigger batts and better CG ended when a bullet between the motor and ESC came undone. The motor actually went backwards so hard the prop bolt...

Redwing 50cc slick 540 build log

I had to cut holes for the pipe exit. I had blocked up off the tunnel before and cut outlet in the bottom of the cowl. I had a big hole there because of the GT60 pitts muffler.

    72" Extra 330SC

Patrick's rebuilt yellow one died today right after I left. Another wing failure to trash bag maneuver. He has a spare fuse and it will live again. Took out a bunch of good gear though. I am flying mine on a A60-6XS and I don't get it going super fast so mine might last a while. Such a good...

    What's on your bench?

That edge is a nice plane. You will really like it. Pictures of my shop would scare most people. I want to do up the AJ laser and finish my RV-4 kit finally. I need to clean off the 83 MXS and 72 extra mess as well as the foamy corner.

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

I was just looking at my fleet, and my 30cc stuff is mostly pant less. For some reason the 60 laser wheel pants are working wonderful, but that is about it. My 89 slick has gone through a few sets and I got tired of replacing them. I never put them on my biggest plane, my 110 yak. The things...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Is the motor and RC bits salvageable? I have been flying with jet guys and their crashes are literally fireballs where very little survives.

Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

I got 6-7 flights on the MXS with the Castle ICE2 HV I replaced this with. Great throttle and no issues. Only thing is I put too big of a resistor in for anti-spark and it would not register the full cell count so I stopped using it. Good thing as LVC saved some batteries today.

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

I did not like the visibility from what I saw on videos of that scheme. I got to see them in person at Toledo and Nall and I went with the competition purely for orientation. You will never question where the model is with all that jazz.
