    72" Extra 330SC

If you look on I think the Velox thread, a guy put a DLE-35 on it and had to do some mods to the firewall to get it to fit. It is smaller than the 72 as it was designed back in the day for a beam mount. He had some good ideas on the problem.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

No video as this was the first day and I dink around too much for anything meaningful. I can drag the camera with me and see if anyone will man it. It might be handheld, which is better than none. Option B is to use my gopro, which I keep forgetting about is in the truck, doh, that is why I...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Patrick reminded me his is 14.1 pounds with a piped DLE-35. I weighed it with my 5300s and it was hovering between 14.3 and 14.4 pounds. I will go through a lot of different combos before I find what I like. The CG is bothering me as even with the 3700s against the tube, it was too nosey for...

It is the same as the Mintor 33/38. I actually had one of these and had some props and a spinner left over as well as the drill guide. It is the same spacing as the DA-50, but with M4s instead of M5s. PSP sells the drill guide. I am using a EF 3" spinner for now. I ordered a slightly larger...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Thanks to a tip from "the boss", I used double sided tape to set the perfect spinner gap. The stand is the one EF sells. Very handy. It has 3 different size airplane cut outs. Just model props has dropped the ball and not shipped a order I made on Tuesday. Have to use either a 21x10 xoar or...

Wiring. Had to redo the whole thing to get the safety switch in there. No need for anti spark as that is part of the point of the switch.

On my 88 I had to tone it down. I only used it for certain tumbles. This will probably be the same. 60 up and down on "mid" rates. It is close to camming over, but the bevel stops it.

Discussion What Airframe would you buy if you had a DLE55 to motivate it?

I had a EG Raven that I flew with a DLE-55. That a pretty good combo. I was not wanting for power. There are a lot of planes sold by general hobby and similar sites that are old designs rehashed. I keep eyeing up the Sukhoi 26 V2s that a few of these sites have. They made the control...

Discussion What Airframe would you buy if you had a DLE55 to motivate it?

I keep wanting to put a DLE-120 or something like it on a Aeroworks 75cc Extra. I know it will fit inside the cowling. It has the same wing area as a EF 91 extra and it will be stupid powered, but probably with a higher wing loading. With a DLE-55 you are working with 30 pounds of thrust or...

IMAC learning and support using flight videos

I did get to fly my 92 edge on Saturday PM and let young Zack try it out. I need to work on point rolls as that basic maneuver still alludes me as I never can keep the line straight.

Discussion What Airframe would you buy if you had a DLE55 to motivate it?

I have had this discussion a few times with a few people in the last 2 weeks for some reason. I have a 90" aerobeez extra, which I am assuming is similar to the redwing. It is over 18 pounds and built out tail heavy, so a light DLE-55 is not a good idea. The Aeroplus is designed around 60cc...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Fedex might be more expensive and the USPS insurance claims are aweful. I got a damaged 74 Edge from 3DHS and the brown people came right back and shipped it back to Noll for free. That, and they pick up from the warehouse. You have to ask for freight on anything smaller than a 60cc model...

Not for UPS. Another benefit of the freight option is it is actually pretty quick. The brown box people are the worst here.

Finally got to work on mine. Got it all hinged up and horns in. Got all the servos gathered and arms. Ordered a few props from JMP and a fancy carbon spinner with cooling. We shall see how that goes. I was going to get another set of batteries, but BuddyRC is out. I have a lot of time off...

    Aeroworks Freestyle Extra 260 QB-L

Tyler's was getting up near 13 pounds. It is a few season's old and has the smoke system. The other one I weighed was around 12 pounds. It has a lot of wing to support it and it's wing loading is probably not that bad. Just a short fuse for the size. I am interested in seeing the 60cc...
